A few observations.

Firstly CL matches can always be a tricky game regardless of the opposition andMontpellier proved they shouldn’t be under estimated,despite a bad start to this season, and the first game in group matches are usually the hardest.

the penalty, well technically it was a penalty though would not always be given.the linesman was less than 10 yards away and gave nothing as did the ref but apparently the second ref behind the goal awarded it, though it is still not clear.

Diaby, booked withinthe first minute and IMO was magnificant for 45 minutes maybe he ran out of steam as he has played so little,therefore should have come off earlier..

Gervinho and Podolski most probably did the most mileage in the game but our downfall was that we should have used subs at about 60 minutes.

When I read that players are tired after 5 games something is wrong, maybe as a unit the work load should have ben shared a bit more but I can’t quite put my finger on it.

Anyway we survived and got the vital first 3 points on the board.
